About Me

Greetings! I am Xinzhe Yang (杨欣哲) from Wuxi, China.

Currently I am a PhD student in Materials Science and Engineering at UT Austin, under the supervision of Prof. Yuanyue Liu. Prior to this, I received my master's degree in Materials Physics and Chemistry at Peking University in 2025, advised by Prof. Feng Pan. I did undergraduate research with Prof. Jun Cheng and obtained my bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at Xiamen University in 2022.

My research focuses on the theoretical investigation of electrochemical interfaces, aiming to achieving a comprehensive understanding from multiple perspectives. On one hand, I develop methods to calculate electron transfer rates in electrocatalysts; on the other hand, I simulate interfacial water structures to elucidate their regulation of electrocatalytic reactions. Furthermore, I am interested in applying machine learning methods to accelerate large-scale simulations.

Feel free to reach me via email for discussions, collaborations, or just to say hello.
